A Friendly Ghost for All Your Computational Needs
About me
Work experience
Science Communication Lecturer
Applied Complexity
2022 - present
I have been invited as a speaker for both scientific and non-scientific audiences to talk about how complexity science can be applied into practice. Examples include teaching for the RIVM and Commenius College.
PhD Candidate
Computational Science Lab, Amsterdam, Netherlands
2020 - Present
Scientific research on interventions in complex systems.
Board of Associates
Institute for Advanced Study, Amsterdam, Netherlands
2021 - 2023
As part of the board, I provided advice on the direction of the institute.
Junior Researcher
Institute for Advanced Study, Amsterdam, Netherlands
2019
Performed scientific research into driver-node identification in dynamic networks using information theory.
My Skills
I simplify complex concepts to make them easy to understand. Intuitive design is key to my approach. With expertise in multiple programming languages and tools, I select the best fit for each project. My specialty lies in hybrid languages, allowing me to combine the strengths of different languages like Python, Nim, C++, JavaScript, Julia, and R.

High Quality Visualizations and Communication
Knowledge dies in darkness, I strive for high quality interactive visualizations. Through visual communications I can communicate both with technical and non-technical audiences.
Achievements
Scientifically I have published in a variety of journals within the field of complexity science. Journals include Physica A, and Nature Scientific Reports. Outside Science, I put my creativity in making things. I have crafted a variety of furniture and work regurarly on 3D printing models.
Blog
I attempt to write regularly on my website to share my thoughts and ideas. These blogs usually center around a topic that I delve deep into. They are odd and unique, and I hope you enjoy them.
Creative in Creation
I enjoy creating things we can touch and interact with. This is embodied throughout my academic work and beyond. I have crafted a variety of furniture and work reguarlarly on 3D printing models.
Science Communication
I have had the pleasure of giving lectures to non-scientific audiences. I strongly believe in the importance of science communication and strive to make complex things simple.
